Alocasia Amazonica

Alocasia is a genus of broad-leaved rhizomatous or tuberous perennial flowering plants from the family Araceae. Alocasia is sometimes known as the Kris Plant, Elephant Ear, or African mask plant. They are stunning tropicals plants with arrowhead-shaped leaves. Alocasia is an increasingly popular addition to indoor plant collections due to its unmatched visual and sculptural appeal.

Alocasias need bright, but indirect light. Direct sun will cause the leaves to burn, so avoid placing your Alocasia in a spot where it'll be exposed to direct sun for a prolonged period. Alocasia plants appreciate the extra humidity a kitchen or bathroom can offer. For watering, allow the top 2-3" to dry between watering to ensure the plant isn't sitting in soil that is too wet. Fertilize your plants once a month with a slow-release, water-soluble fertilizer.
